The New Jersey Marathon thanks
all residents of Long Branch and Monmouth Beach for their support of the
11th Anniversary New Jersey Marathon, Long Branch Half Marathon and NJ Marathon Relay on April 29th!

May 2-4, 2008 will be the 12th annual New Jersey
Marathon Weekend, staged by the NJ Road Runners Club (NJRRC) to benefit
children’s charities, with activities for all ages and abilities. Many Long
Branch and local charities will be designated as beneficiaries!
Once again, we are inviting YOU to join in!
The course for these events has been designed
to showcase your City of Long Branch and Borough of Monmouth Beach. An
expected 5,000 or more participants (from nearly 50 states, 12 countries and
400 different NJ towns) will be running (and walking) through neighborhood
streets on the morning and early afternoon of Sunday, May 4, 2007.
The Start and Finish is on the Long Branch Promenade at the Ocean Place
Resort & Spa.
The Start Time for all events on May 4th is 7:30am.
More than 1,500 Volunteer / Neighborhood Tees will be given out to adults
and children along the race course to “Thank You” for helping to make the
12th Anniversary NJM a success.
How can you take part?
• Participate in an event during the weekend. Along with the “signature”
races on Sunday, 5/4, there are kids’ races and fun activities for all ages
on Saturday, 5/3. • Volunteer on Race Day (Sunday, May 4th) in your neighborhood or at a
Fluid Station in your area. • Be a cheerleader on the course in front of your home with your friends and
family.
With your help, the 12th Anniversary New Jersey Marathon Weekend will again be a
positive experience for both the thousands of participants and thousands of
spectator residents along the course!
