On the Course


General Information

  • Temperature generally in the mid-50s to high 60s F.
     

  • The finish line will shut down at 2:30pm. 
    All full (26.2-mile) marathoners must complete the first 13.1-mile loop in 3 hours 15 minutes or less.  All full marathoners who are at the 13.2 mile mark after the time limit will be instructed to turn in their timing chip and leave the course.  The course will begin to open to traffic and on-course support will begin to shut down.
     

  • Not Allowed for Safety and Insurance Reasons: Headphones, jogging strollers, bikes, in-line skaters and animals accompanying entrants are not permitted on the course.
     

  • The course is USAT&F certified and can be used as a Boston qualifier.

On-Course Amenities

  • The official on-course fluid stations are located approx. 2 miles (or less) apart.  They are not co-located with the mile markers.  Each station will have Gatorade (Endurance Formula) first, water second.  Fluid station signs will prompt you prior to a station.  We will also have a High Energy Food Station at (approx.) miles 9 and 22, stocked with high sugar foods, pretzels and de-fizzed cola. Oranges, bananas and GU will be available at certain locations.

  • There will also be Digital Clocks, Medical Aid Stations, Entertainment and Porta Johns (located near the fluid stations.)
