The local streets on the northern end of the
course will begin to be closed starting around 7:30 AM and will begin to
reopen between noon and 1 PM.
Please remember that this is a
2-loop course for the marathoners. As soon at the last athlete has
passed by, the water and aid stations have been disassembled, and the police and course
marshals confirm that it is safe, those streets will be
reopened.
The
local streets on the southern end of the course will begin to be
closed starting around 8:30 AM and will begin to reopen between 2:30 PM - 3:30
PM.
The longer closure intervals for the streets on the southern
end of the course are due to runners slowing down during the second loop (the last 6 miles of the race (miles 20 - 26.2)
The street closing information and times for 2010 will be posted by early April.
